You can even learn some exciting tips or tricks to make the most out of your new device.

We’ve already covered how you can pair your new Microsoft Band with your Windows Phone, and how you can extend the battery life of your new Microsoft Band. Before you read this, we recommend you read how to pair your new Microsoft Band with your Windows Phone device first.

Using the Microsoft Health app, you can input data such as your age, height, and weight. This information is used to calculate the distance you travel in a day, or how many calories you burn during a workout. Again, you need to pair your Band with your Windows Phone, using the Microsoft Health app. Go here to do that first.

Within the Microsoft Health app, you can customize your Microsoft Band by tapping on Band > Personalize Band. This will allow you to choose the theme color and wallpaper for your Band. If that is not enough customization, you can download a third-party app called ‘Pimp My Band’ which costs $0.99 and allows you to change your Band’s wallpaper with any image or photo you want.

With this app, you can easily browse for a picture, crop the desired part, preview it, and send it to your Band. You can also set a custom color palette via an easy to use color picker.

Microsoft recommends that you keep your profile and preferences current, so you can get accurate calculations of your calories burned as well as other important calculations.
