Asus introduces world's thinnest Windows tablet, the Transformer Book T300 Chi

Today, at the Computex 2014 expo, Asus has unloaded a lot of gadgets, including the Transformer Book T300 Chi hybrid laptop. Measuring 14.3mm in the laptop mode and 7.3mm in the tablet mode, Asus is claiming this tablet to be world’s slimmest.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 is probably the closest competitor of the Transformer Book T300 Chi, at 0.36″ (9mm). The Transformer Book T300 Chi features a 2560 x 1440 IPS-LCD display (a lot more detailed than an equivalent 1920×1080 pixel Full HD equivalent), built-in 4G LTE connectivity and next-generation Intel Core processors. You can either use it as a tablet or plug it into a laptop keyboard dock with a 1TB hard drive. With a touch of a button you can also switch between Windows and Android.

Chi is the ‘highest form of an invisible energy’ in Chinese culture, in case you’re interested, and is “perfect for both office and mobile productivity and entertainment,” said  Asus CEO and president Jonney Shih who introduced the devices today.
