Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president for the Office team has taken to the Microsoft Office blog to announce that Cloud storage options come to Office on Android. The availability comes after the feature was previously available for Office on iOS and Office Online, and means that you can get work done no matter which cloud provider you use.
To use the feature all you need is to add a cloud storage provider via the Add a place menu in the latest versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint on Android. According to Kirk, after you do so, “documents can be edited and shared with the selected provider just as if it were your OneDrive, and you can even launch Word, Excel or PowerPoint directly from the cloud storage provider’s app to edit your files.”
Currently, on Office for Android, cloud storage options include Dropbox, Box, Egnyte, and more will be coming soon. Which cloud services do you use with Office? Let us know what you think by dropping us a comment below!
