Microsoft has released new firmware and driver updates for the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. According to Windows Central, the firmware and driver updates are appearing on Surface Book for Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring and Release Preview. Theses updates will likely be available for the Surface Pro 4 too, but my Surface Pro 4 hasn’t gotten any updates yet.
Here is a list of what updates that are available now for Surface Book:
- Driver for Marvel AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter
- Driver for Surface DTX (Surface Book only)
- Driver for Surface System Aggregator Firmware
- Driver for Surface Embedded Controller Firmware
- Driver for Surface UEFI
Windows Central notes that some of the updates are just bug fixes and performance improvements, while others might be related to the Windows 10 Creators Update coming in early 2017. The last updates to Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 were at the end of August 2016.
Microsoft has not released a changelog for these updates, so stay tuned and we will update you with the changelog as soon as it is released.
