The Pokemon Go Windows phone app PoGo-UWP has died down right along with the hype of the game. According to a report out by Windows Central, the app is now broken due to more API changes on Niantic Labs servers.
Word on the app no longer working was spread on a GitHub page for the PoGo UWP app. There, the developer mentions that Niantic “forced the update to 0.39 version, which breaks a lot of things API-wise.” As a result, the developer decided to disable the game for everyone and notes:
I know that you guys were waiting to see all the changes that we’ve been pushing in the last weeks, we really wanted you to see them, but I don’t know when we’ll be able to have a working API again so I must ask you to keep on waiting. We’re sorry for that, but we have no control on API changes. Thanks for your understanding.
This, in fact, is not the first time that the app has stopped working. Back in August, the app had stopped functioning for a bit after Niantic changed it’s servers encryptions. Are you sad to see that the app is no longer working again? Let us know what you think by dropping us a comment below!
