GoPro competitor Contour releases their official app for Windows Phone

GoPro competitor Contour has released their official app for Windows Phone. For now, the app is in beta and works with their Contour+2 and ContourROAM2 devices.

The app gives you the ability to start and stop video recording from your phone, configure settings, check your battery power, your SD card’s memory, and make sure you have your GPS locked all from your Windows Phone device. The app was released to give consumers more control over their cameras.

“Contour Connect turns your Windows Phone device into your personal command center. Start and stop video recording from your phone, configure your settings on the fly, line up that perfect shot, check your battery and SD card’s memory and make sure you have you GPS locked all from your Windows Phone device. Connect is fast, better, stronger, and is the perfect accessory when you are in the field,” the app description reads.

Steps mentioned to connect your Contour camera with your Windows Phone are:

  • Hold Bluetooth button of the camera for 5 seconds or more, then pair with your Windows Phone.
  • To reconnect Bluetooth after devices are already paired, press and release Bluetooth button on the camera.
  • If you cannot connect with the app once it is running, try turning the camera off and back on.

Grab the app via the download link below. Since the app is in beta, if you find any bug or have a suggestion, feel free to contact them at at [email protected]
