Microsoft is opening up the EA Access service to all Xbox Gold Live subscribers for free between June 12th through June 22nd.
EA Access is usually an extra paid subscription service that allows members to play a large number of EA’s Xbox One video games for free (after the subscription fee). There are currently over 20 Xbox One video games in the EA Acess games library including such titles as Battlefield Hardline, EA SPORTS UFC, Battlefield 4, FIFA 16, Dead Space, Madden NFL 16, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR, NHL15, Titanfall, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, NBA LIVE 15, Peggle 2, FIFA 14, and Madden NFL 14.
To gain access to the games, Xbox Live Gold members simply need to download the EA Access Hub App, which is completely free. There will be no lock-in contracts or anything of the type for this free trial as the network will detect which gamers are Xbox Live Gold members and grant them access. Those interested will have the option to subscribe on a regular basis after the 22nd.
Here’s the official blurb on the deal from Microsoft’s Major Nelson: With EA Access, members can play new EA titles before they are released for a limited time and save 10% on all EA digital purchases on Xbox One. You’ll be among the first to download and explore Battlefield 1, FIFA 17, Madden NFL 17, Mass Effect: Andromeda and other new EA games. Since you’re playing the real game and not a demo, your saved progress will carry over if you decide to buy the full game once it’s released.
