In Windows 8, we have three power options. We can either Sleep, ShutDown, or Restart our computer. For those who have used previous versions of Windows, you may have sensed something missing – the Hibernate option. Well, with this tutorial, we can get the Hibernate power-option back!
- Hit Windows Key + W to bring up the settings search. From there, type “power”
- Hit “Change what the power buttons do.” You will be directed to the System Settings dialog window.
- Select “Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Scroll to the bottom of the dialog and you will notice that “Hibernate” is unchecked. Simply check mark it and hit save.
