AOL Mail Users More Likely to be Overweight?

Ever ask the question, “What does my email domain say about me?” Well, apparently a survey was conducted to build a “taste graph” of the World Wide Web.

According to researcher Amanda Green, we tend to stereotype people by their email addresses.

If you have an @aol.com email address, you are likely older and overweight. You also enjoy lounging around your suburban home in your sweats.

If you have an e-mail address from Gmail, you’re probably a thin, college-educated dude who’s career-focused and enjoys salty snacks. You mostly read blogs, have an iPhone and laptop, and listen to music via MP3s and computers. At home, they lounge around in a t-shirt and jeans.

If you are a Hotmail user, you enjoy magazines and contemporary fiction, but are likely introverted and pessimistic. You, however, prefer sweet snacks.

And if your e-mail address ends in @yahoo.com, then you’re a little more spiritual than Gmail and Hotmail users. Your family is your highest priority in life and you can be both optimistic and pessimistic depending on what the world throws at you.

Very interesting sterotypes. Visit this link for a visual representation of this “taste graph” of the World Wide Web.

Tell us what your email says about you in the comments!
