In a digital age of ever-evolving technology, one thing is certain – newer operating systems often come with specific hardware requirements. This was particularly true when Windows 11 was released, much to the dismay of those whose computers did not meet the necessary criteria. The good news is that a user on X (formerly Twitter) recently posted a method for bypassing Windows 11’s strict hardware requirements.
Notably, many individuals are unable to install Windows 11 due to the absence of a “compatible 64-bit CPU” or a TPM 2.0 chip. Even computers purchased just a few years prior suddenly fell short of the necessary specifications to run the latest version of the operating system.
A user, Bob Pony, stumbled upon an intriguing method for bypassing the Windows 11 hardware lock.
HUGE GROUND BREAKING DISCOVERY! ????
To ALL users that don't meet the artificial requirements for Windows 11, I GOT SOME GREAT NEWS TO SHARE!
When adding "/product server" switch to setup.exe in the Windows 11 setup directory, it BYPASSES the Windows 11 hardware requirement checks. pic.twitter.com/Ig5FtQhOID— Bob Pony (@TheBobPony) October 8, 2023
According to his post, one could bypass the strict requirements by initiating the Windows 11 setup routine via the Windows command line tool with the additional command “/product server.” setup /product server
The trick seemed to work flawlessly, granting access to the operating system even on machines previously deemed incompatible.
Among the comments and replies on Bob Pony’s post, there was a notable mention of a Vietnamese user who had made this discovery over a year ago. However, their breakthrough seems to have flown under the radar, buried within the confines of a Vietnamese forum. The lack of widespread dissemination limited the reach of this knowledge, leaving countless individuals unaware of its existence until now.
As the news spread, tech enthusiasts from every corner of the globe attempted the method shared by Bob Pony. Please feel free to share in the comments section below if you have also made an attempt and include the outcome as well.
