Microsoft waited until Friday morning to release a new set of Windows 11 Insider builds for the Beta Channel, but it’s well worth the wait as lots of new stuff has been added to this mid tier channel. For build 22631.2050 (new features rolling out) there’s a long list of features previously added to the Dev Channel that are available now here in Beta. Let’s hit the highlights:

Dynamic Lighting

There’s a long list of keyboards and mice that support the open HID LampArray standard, be sure to check them out!

Windows Ink Improvements

“Windows Ink is being modernized to allow users to enable inking directly onto edit fields. In addition, we are improving the accuracy from the recognition technology and a scratch out gesture for when users need to make edits. The goal with Windows Ink is to let users use their pen and handwrite anywhere they can type on their Windows device.”
