If you scheme through a lot of files throughout the day using the Microsoft 365 app for Android, then you’ll be glad to learn about this new addition to the platform. At one point, we’ve all been in a position where we’ve just opened and closed a file but can’t find it when we want to refer to something once more.
Well, this will no longer pose an issue to Microsoft 365 app for Android users. The app now features a new improvement that lets users find files that they had previously opened easily. Microsoft is incorporating a Recent tab where all the files that you’ve recently opened will be listed.
The new feature will be available across Microsoft 365, that is, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files opened from Microsoft apps. What’s more, the capability is also available for third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Gmail, Outlook, and more.
However, the feature ships with one known issue. There might be instances when you’ll be required to close and re-open the app multiple times to get the feature to work. The feature is currently rolling out to Insiders running version 16.0.16227.20076 or later of the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android.
In related news. Microsoft 365 is slated to get an accessibility assistant, a tool that’s designed to help users make their work more accessible with less effort in Microsoft 365.
Additionally, a video recently leaked online suggesting that AI is coming to PowerPoint and Microsoft 365, which will allow users to leverage AI technology to come up with presentations.
And just yesterday, Microsoft announced Microsoft 365 Copilot, a set of AI-powered features and products coming to Microsoft 365 and apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more.
However, the company didn’t disclose when we should expect the new tool or even the price. If you missed the webcast, you can catch up on all that was announced here.
