Microsoft released another new Windows 11 Insider build today for the Dev Channel, with a new build number of 25300. Along with the build they’ve also released ISOs for this build, so you can download them and clean install if that’s your preference.

The build includes Live Captions, released first in English only for US Insiders with the Windows 11 2022 Update, which are now available in “Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish and other English dialects.” More languages are still to come.

You can turn on Live Captions with the WIN+Ctrl+L keyboard shortcut, or via Quick Settings:

When turned on for the first time, live captions will prompt for download of the required speech recognition support to enable on-device captioning. If speech recognition support is not available in your preferred Windows language or you want support in other languages, you will be able to download speech recognition support for live captions under Settings > Time & Language > Language & region.

Along with Live Captions, build 25300 is trying out some new treatments for Snap Layouts, and looking for ways to improve discoverability and usage, “such as decreasing the hover time required to invoke the flyout when you mouse over the maximum/restore button in an app’s title bar.”

(Note: looks like still no 1/3 – 2/3 layout, PowerToys Fancy Zones ftw!).

Voice typing, Settings, and WSL have all been improved as well.

Then there’s the usual list of Fixes and Known Issues, be sure to check out the full list at the Windows Insider blog.
