If like a lot of Windows users you’re still running Windows 10, it looks like a new update for the OS is getting closer. Microsoft announced today that Windows 10 build 19045.1865 is now available in the Release Preview Channel, but with this catch, it’s only for Windows Insider for Business participants with commercial devices configured for the Release Preview Channel. The blog post clarifies a bit:
*Note: We consider a device a commercial device if it is not running the Windows 10 Home edition AND is being managed by an IT administrator (whether via Microsoft Endpoint Manager or other management solutions) or has a volume license key or commercial ID or is joined to a domain.
There is a workaround, however, as the new build is available via the “seeker experience” in Windows Update. If you’re a Windows Insider on Windows 10 in the Release Preview Channel, you can go to Settings>Windows Update, and choose to install Windows 10 version 22H2.
The blog post doesn’t list any new features or fixes for Windows 10 build 19045.1865, but it is available now for download, either as a Windows Insider for Business participant, or through the “seeker experience.”
