The first of the new features allows Edge to prompt you to switch to the appropriate profile when Microsoft Edge detects that a link is a personal or work link. With the second feature, you can navigate the web safely with improved reliability and stability. Microsoft says that this is thanks to the rewritten web defense client (previously known as Microsoft Defender SmartScreen) on Microsoft Edge for Windows. Also new are these policy updates.
- GuidedSwitchEnabled – Guided Switch Enabled
- InternetExplorerZoomDisplay – Display zoom in IE Mode tabs with DPI Scale included like it is in Internet Explorer
- LiveCaptionsAllowed – Live captions allowed
- OriginAgentClusterDefaultEnabled – Origin-keyed agent clustering enabled by default
This particular version of Edge version 103 comes in at 103.0.1264.13. It replaces Edge version 102.0.1245.25 which was released just last week on May 26 in the beta channel. Yet, now that it is in the Beta Channel, you can expect version 103 to hit the stable channel around June 23. That’s three weeks of bug testing for you Edge Insiders.
As for what’s on the stable channel right now, it is version 102. That was just released back on May 21 but without any major new changes.
