Microsoft Teams continues to thrive in this new hybrid workplace era, and starting this week the team communication hub is getting support for interactive webinars for up to 1,000 attendees. With Teams webinars, customers will have an end-to-end solution that supports the same controls as regular Teams meetings, with the ability to access attendee reporting and bring the data to CRM applications once the webinar is over.
In addition to Webinars, PowerPoint Live has also started rolling out in Microsoft Teams this week. This new Meeting capability will allow presenters to view upcoming slides, notes, meeting chat, and the audience in a single view while presenting. Attendees can currently view slides at their own pace and use accessibility features if needed, and more customization options including slide translation capabilities are coming soon.
Later this month, Presenter Mode will also provide new options to make Teams meetings look like professional TV news bulletins. Standout Mode, which will be available later in May, will show the speaker’s video feed as a silhouette in front of the shared content. This new Presenter Mode for Teams Meetings will soon support the alternative Reporter and Side-by-side options.
