New Surface Pro X firmware updates improve system stability

Microsoft is rolling out a handful of firmware updates for its ARM-based Surface Pro X devices (via WindowsBlog Italia). The latest batch is specifically available for new Surface Pro X models with the SQ2 processor and improves system stability.

The new bits mark a merging of support for the Surface Pro X with SQ1 and SQ2 processors in various aspects of the experience, and you can check out the full list of changes below:

The April 2021 firmware updates are available for all Surface Pro X devices running Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 20H1) or newer. As always, these updates are rolling out gradually, so it’s possible that these won’t show up for everyone right away.
