Microsoft is once again releasing new firmware updates for its Surface devices. This time around, the Surface Pro 7 and the Surface Book 3 models are getting updated, with each getting a handful of updates. The updates are nearly identical across the two devices and target many different aspects of the user experience.
For the Surface Book 3 owners, the latest updates aim to improve the built-in cameras, specifically the power consumption while using them. There are also some updates that are meant to improve the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability and more. You can check out the full list of changes below:

The Surface Pro 7 is getting a more extensive list of updates this month, with all the same camera-related updates and several other improvements. To avoid repetition, we have only listed the remainder of the updates below. This set brings enhancements to battery performance, system stability, and telemetry reporting. The company is further promising improved integration between system and pen inking. Here’s what you should be seeing in Windows Update:

- Surface UEFI – Firmware: 9.104.140.0 Improves system stability and system USB port identification.
- Surface Integration – System devices: 21.31.139.0 Improves integration between system and pen inking.
As usual, the April 2021 firmware updates are available for Surface Pro 7 and Surface Book 3 owners running Windows 10 version 1903 or newer. Keep in mind that these updates are rolling out gradually, so it might be possible that not everyone sees them at the same time.
