Microsoft, Oracle, and others are working together on Vaccination Credential Initiative
A group of technology companies, including Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and others, has formed to work together to create a way for users to access vaccine records on their smartphones, aimed at helping people provide evidence that they have been vaccinated, for example, against COVID-19.
NRDC invites Microsoft and Sony to reduce power consumption on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
Microsoft, alongside Sony, has been criticised by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) for the power consumption of their latest gaming consoles. In particular, Microsoft has been criticised for enabling its “Instant-on” mode by default in the United States, which consumes more power than the console otherwise would. The NRDC also recommended implementing a low-power chip for video playback, as the console uses significantly more power for video playback than other devices, such as an Apple TV.

OneDrive raises upload file size limit from 100GB to 250GB
The individual upload file size limit for OneDrive has been increased to 250GB, up from a previous limit of 100GB. Uploads have also been improved to conserve bandwidth usage by only uploading the parts that need uploading, instead of uploading the whole file.
