Minecraft Dungeons is getting a new update on all platforms today for the release of the Howling Peaks DLC. The free update adds six new enchantments to the base game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, adding a bit more variety to the already solid gameplay.
With the new Howling Peaks DLC, players get to enjoy a unique mountain adventure with new armor, weapons, artifacts, and monsters. This third DLC is available for purchase for $5.99, but it’s also included in the new $19.99 Season Pass that will provide access to the game’s next four DLCs.
In addition to new paid DLCs, Minecraft Dungeons is also getting cross-save support in a future update. The dungeon crawler already supports cross-play multiplayer, but cloud saves will allow players to bring their characters and progression to other platforms.
Minecraft Dungeons isn’t the only Minecraft game to see an update this week, as Minecraft for Windows 10 also received support for Nvidia RTX ray-tracing yesterday. We’d love to see ray-tracing also come to Minecraft on Xbox Series X|S consoles, though developer Mojang has yet to share its plans about ray-tracing on consoles.
