Microsoft announced a revamp of its Office 365 consumer subscriptions last month, with the Office 365 consumer subscriptions to be rebranded as Microsoft 365 Personal and Family. The subscriptions are now generally available globally, and existing Office 365 subscriptions are also being automatically renamed to Microsoft 365.
Notably, the branding changes come with more benefits at the same price. Microsoft 365 Family subscription still costs $9.99/month for up to six family members, while Microsoft 365 Personal subscription costs $6.99/month. Both subscriptions still include access to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook, 1TB of storage, and free Skype minutes every month. However, subscribers can now use a Grammarly-like Microsoft Editor browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, new free and premium templates in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with latter also being improved with PowerPoint Designer and a new Presenter Coach feature.
Microsoft 365 subscribers will get more features later this year including Money in Excel. Furthermore, there is also a Microsoft Family Safety App coming soon, with the ability to manage screen time across Windows PCs, Android, and Xbox, while Microsoft Teams will soon adding your personal Microsoft account for interacting and planning with your close friends and family.
