Microsoft’s video game streaming platform, Project xCloud, gained three new titles today (via WC) for those testing it in Preview.
The three games are Descenders, Frostpunk, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator which cover the racing, survivor, and tactics genres respectively.
Here’s the official game descriptions for each title.
Descenders
In Descenders, your team is your life. When you pick a side — Enemy, Arboreal or Kinetic — you’ll be bound together with other players who choose the same side as you. Grab your bike, pick your team, and attempt to live up to the legend of your Descender. Will you join the die-hard, trick-frenzy ranks of Team Enemy, the proficient, off-road stylings of Team Arboreal, or the high-octane, speed-is-everything Team Kinetic?
Frostpunk
Offering players a complex strategic challenge alongside a rich narrative featuring an alternative take on the 19th-century industrial revolution, Frostpunk weaves a story of how our planet mysteriously freezes, putting an end to civilization as we know it and forcing the human race to adapt to the harsh conditions. As the leader of possibly the last civilized society on Earth, you’re going to build the city your survivors live in, discover new technologies, explore frozen wastelands and most importantly, manage and rule society to prepare it for life in an unforgiving world. Whether you’re an enlightened ruler or an iron-fisted tyrant, you’ll discover choices in this world aren’t as easy as they seem, and that holding power over people has a cost as heavy as the responsibility you feel in caring for them.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
This game is a work in progress. It may or may not change over time or release as a final product. Purchase only if you are comfortable with the current state of the unfinished game. Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is a wacky physics-based tactics game. Experience accurate warfare through the ages. TABS uses state of the art physics-based simulation to provide you with never-before-seen insight to our greatest battles of history.
Project xCloud is Microsoft’s first-party service that allows users to stream entire video games via the cloud to their Android smartphone or tablet. xCloud is currently in Preview in regions such as the United States, United Kingdom, and South Korea and is set to debut (in Preview) in Canada within the next 24 hours.
