The augmented reality mobile game, Minecraft Earth, has expanded its early access availability today by being made available on iOS and Android in Australia, Mexico, and Sweden. This follows the game’s recent early access launch in New Zealand and Iceland and the closed beta testing in Tokyo, Seattle, and other cities in August.
As of today, anyone in Australia, Iceland, Mexico, New Zealand, and Sweden with a compatible iOS or Android smart device can download and play the game for free. Other regions, such as the United States, will be added gradually over the coming weeks and months as Minecraft Earth is tested and improved with its current playerbase.
Minecraft Earth is an augmented reality game that allows players to construct their own Minecraft creations within the real world. The game works in a similar way to the popular Pokemon Go title which incorporates the smart device’s GPS and camera for a more immersive experience.
