Microsoft has recently released new firmware updates for the Surface Pro 4 and newer, as well as the Surface Laptop 1 and 2 (via MSPoweruser). The new bits should bring battery life improvements to all of these devices, and that’s actually all that the release notes on the Surface update history page mentioned.

Surface Laptop 1 and 2
- Surface System Aggregator – Firmware: 145.501.139.0 helps improve battery life.
Surface Pro 4
- Surface Embedded Controller Firmware– Firmware: 103.2851.256.0 helps improve battery life.
Surface Pro 5
- Surface System Aggregator – Firmware: 239.2852.257.0 helps improve battery life.
Surface Pro 6
- Surface System Aggregator – Firmware: 241.1.139.0 helps improve battery life.
In case you missed it, Microsoft also released new firmware updates for the Surface Book 2 last week that fixed the display adapter issue, but also improved battery “stability” and solved another issue involving unwanted CPU throttling. Moreover, Microsoft also finally removed the upgrade block that was preventing Surface Book 2 owners to install Windows 10 version 1903.
