After the Outlook app for iOS was updated with dark mode support, it’s now the turn of the OneDrive iOS app to get a fresh coat of black paint. The new dark theme option is ready for iOS 13, which Apple has just released for the iPhone 6S and newer models.

iOS 13 includes a system-wide dark theme option, and the OneDrive app should respect it once you turn dark mode on in system settings. In addition to reducing eye strain, dark theme should also be more battery efficient on recent iPhone with OLED screens, including the brand new iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
Last month, Microsoft announced a new cross-company effort to bring dark mode to the broader Microsoft 365 suite. Eventually, this rollout will extend to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, and To-Do on mobile, and we can’t wait to see more app developers embrace dark mode in their apps.
