Microsoft’s Sticky Notes app for Windows 10 is adopting new localized names in some markets where the “Sticky Notes” app name doesn’t make much sense. The change is live with the just-released version 3.7.60 of the app, and rest assured that nothing else is changing beyond the app’s name in select markets.
Hey Sticky Note fans! ???? Happy to announce that our app name is now localized in many markets as of 3.7.60! We are still the Sticky Notes you know and love, just easier to find in search, either via "Sticky Notes" or by a term that’s a bit more familiar in your local language ❤

As noted by Italian website Aggiornamenti Lumia, the app has been renamed to “Memo” in Italy. In France, the app’s new name is “Pense-bête Microsoft,” which translates into “Microsoft Reminder.” We don’t have the full list of new localized names, but it’s true that the Sticky Notes name probably wasn’t ideal in countries where English isn’t the main language.
Sticky Notes has become much more useful since it started using Microsoft Exchange to sync notes with a MSA account or an Office 365 account, meaning that you can find your notes in Outlook or Apple’s Notes app for iOS or macOS. In case you missed it, the app also gained multi-desktop and image support earlier this year.
