A couple of days ago, took the stage at InfoComm 2019 to announce its new ThinkSmart Hub 500 for Zoom Rooms.
The all-in-one conference room solution leverages Zoom Rooms software on a simplistic tabletop device that includes an Intel vPro processor, integrated speakers, dual microphones to pick up 360-degree audio and a touchscreen panel for easier control.
Lenovo has also taken into consideration the maintenance and management time that goes into maintaining a functioning conference room and will soon deploy ThinkSmart software for a more automated management process of several ThinkSmart Hubs across various rooms.
In addition to the ThinkSmart Hub, Lenovo also plans to roll out several accessories that should boost the devices functionality and increase meeting efficiency that include support of Avocor displays for 4K visual resolution screen share and remote access. Huddly IQ will also partner with Lenovo on providing an AI-powered conference camera that will make use of intelligent features and an onboard neural engine to presumably keep focus of speakers and perhaps run overlays of relevant data.
Lastly, Maverick AV solutions will contribute a set of Zoom Room bundle kits for conferences rooms of small, medium and large sizes. The Maverick AV solutions will be based on Lenovo’s older ThinkCentre Tiny M920 “ThinkSmart Edition” desktop configurations.
Lenovo showed some demos of its new ThinkSmart Hub 500 during its time at the Orange County Convention but customers will be able to get their hands on the real thing come July 2019, for roughly $1,799.
