After literally years of waiting, it looks as if the Xbox Game Pass video game subscription service could finally be making a proper launch on PC.
There’s still no official confirmation of a near-future launch for the service on PC but the reliable tipster, WalkingCat, has seemingly found an official Xbox Game Pass PC Twitter account this morning that suggests a proper launch is planned.
Sure, anyone can create a Twitter account and call it anything they want, but WalkingCat is generally reliable when it comes to these sort of discoveries so it’s possible that someone tipped him off to this in an official capacity. There’s also the fact that this Xbox Game Pass PC Twitter account is completely locked down and isn’t even letting people follow it, something a random internet user looking for attention usually wouldn’t do and something a company wanting to reserve a username would do.

The idea of a PC version of Xbox Game Pass isn’t a new one. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has stated as far back as 2017 that there were plans for an Xbox Game Pass to come to PC and the only thing holding them back was a lack of quality games. This has definitely change now with Sea of Thieves, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Forza Horizon 3 and 4, Cuphead, and numerous others now being playable on Windows 10 PCs.
In addition to this, Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, outright confirmed that there were immediate plans for Xbox Game Pass to come to PC during the company’s earnings call in October of last year.
While there has been no official launch date announced for Xbox Game Pass on PC, it’s clearly a matter of when and not if. If that Twitter account is an official one, and with E3 just over a week away, it’s entirely possible that the service could be coming very soon.
Of course, it could also be a year away. Or more.
