New Surface Pro 3 driver update improves system stability and security

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 tablet may be already four-years old, but it’s still getting firmware updates in 2018. Indeed, owners of the 2-in-1 device can now download three new driver updates that should improve system stability and security (via Neowin). the full details are available below:

  • Surface Integration – System: 2.0.1630.0 improves system stability and resolve Device Manager error state.
  • Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter – Bluetooth: 15.68.9125.57 improves system security.
  • Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller – Network adapters: 15.68.9125.57 improves system security.

So far, the Surface Pro 3 got four series of driver updates this year, and the previous one was in September. Such level of support is pretty remarkable, even though this is to be expected considering the premium pricing that Microsoft is asking for its Surface devices.

Surface Pro 3 owners can download these new drivers from Windows Update today, and as of this writing Microsoft has yet to upload the driver package on its Download Center website. As usual, let us know in the comments if you encounter any issues after installing the new bits.
