Windows 10

A new build of Windows 10 Mobile is now available for Windows Insiders to download. The new build includes an improved Start Screen with more customization options, allowing you to change whether your wallpaper is behind or in the tiles like on Windows Phone 8.1, and the transparency of said tiles.

Not only that, but this new build introduces the new Windows Store (Beta) which allows access to the new mobile universal Office apps which were shown off at BUILD and Ignite. Those wishing to download the new build can check for updates, if you’re new to the insider program on phones make sure you run the Windows Insider app first.

Windows 10 Mobile may seem a little rough when it comes to stability, and that’s due to the fact that Windows 10 Mobile is actually behind in development. Windows 10 for desktops will RTM before Windows 10 Mobile, which is expected to RTM later in the year.

This new build supports the Lumia 930/Lumia Icon, Lumia 640 and 640XL, and the HTC One (M8) for Windows. However, if you are on Verizon and you have a HTC One (M8) for Windows, you will not be able to upgrade just yet. Keep in mind that this is a fast ring release, so expect bugs!
