Microsoft has released another firmware update for its 2017 Surface Pro yesterday (via Neowin). According to the short release notes, the Surface System Aggregator version 234.2317.257.0 should improve batter stability, with no impact on performance and overall reliability.

If you’re not seeing this new firmware update right away in Windows Update, don’t worry: Microsoft says that it will roll out gradually to all devices, but download files are already available for the WiFi and LTE variants. When you install the latest firmware update, you’ll also get all the previous updates if you haven’t already installed them on your Surface.

The 2017 Surface Pro received plenty of driver updates since its launch in June 2017, but the time may have finally come for a new version. Indeed, Microsoft is expected to unveil new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models during its upcoming New York event on October 2. The company’s new Surface devices may also be available in black, which would be a first since the 2013 Surface Pro 2.
