Earlier today Microsoft pushed out a new Redstone 5 build to Fast Ring Windows Insiders. Unfortunately, Skip Ahead Insiders haven’t been seeing any new builds for the past few weeks. There’s a good reason why, though, and Microsoft today explained a bit further, promising they’ll be sharing more soon.

According to Microsoft, the Insider team is still working on tackling bugs in the most recent Skip Ahead Builds. Microsoft also has a new candidate in the works but needs to validate internally. This involves looking at internal telemetry, which given how things have gone in the past, could take a while.
As a recap, build 18219 was the last Skip Ahead release to hit the public. That build comes with a set of fixes and known issues. This was about three weeks ago, so you Windows Insiders who were lucky enough to Skip Ahead before enrollment closed will have to wait things out longer for some new action soon.
Update: We originally headlined this post mentioning that Microsoft said there would be no new Skip Ahead Builds this week. Brandon LeBlanc was quick to point out our error, and we’ve updated this headline to clarify that the company is instead explaining the lack of new Skip Ahead builds.
