In the world of updates for Windows, typically there is Patch Tuesday, and that’s about it. Microsoft threw caution to the wind and released a second firmware update targeting Surface Pro 3 devices. The update doesn’t take very long to install and is intended to address business and enterprise needs. The firmware supports enterprise encryption and enhances configuration for device security.
- Surface Pro UEFI (v3.11.760.0) adds support for enterprise disk encryption, enhances the advanced configuration settings for device security, and adds configurable support from the Windows OS for provisioning scenarios.
The firmware is a welcomed update for those using the Surface Pro 3 as their all-in-one PC/tablet device in the enterprise space.
