Microsoft has released a new round of updates for users running the three most recent versions of Windows 10. One of the updates help address security issues, and another delivers new notification of privacy experiences for those who haven’t yet already updated to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (via MSPoweruser.)
Only users who are running the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) will be seeing the first security update. This will be showing up as KB4100347 in Windows Update. It contains several CPU microcode updates for Intel processors, as per Microsoft’s prior agreement with Intel to help deliver security fixes for the Spectre security flaw.
Everyone else on the Creators (version 1703) or Fall Creators Update (version 1709) should be seeing KB4134660 or KB4134661. Both of these updates are meant to provide a notification of an improved privacy experience on an upgrade to the Windows 10 April 2018 release.
As usual, these updates should be showing up now on Windows Update. We’re not seeing them just yet on any of our devices, but we remind you that you can always download manually via the Microsoft Update Catalog.
