Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra has confirmed via a tweet on his personal account that video game and app downloads on Xbox One consoles are now viewable within the popup Guide. Previously the progress of downloads were only viewable within the My games & apps screen and on the main Dashboard.

This may seem like a small update (and it is) but it’s also a useful one as now Xbox One console owners can check the progress of a download while playing a video game or watching a movie or TV show within another app simply by pressing the Xbox controller’s glowing logo instead of pausing their activity and returning to the Dashboard.
