The annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) is coming up soon on March 19th and Microsoft today shared they are looking to use GDC to highlight how they can inspire and enable game developers to do more.
The company will have an Azure Booth at GDC 2018 in the South Hall Lower Lobby of the Moscone Center, where developers can learn more about building games on Microsoft’s Azure cloud. Microsoft will also hold three Azure sponsored sessions at GDC that show how Next Games, Fluffy Fairy, and others build to scale with Azure and PlayFab. Other notable Microsoft events at GDC are seen below.
- At the Moscone Center, the Xbox Lobby Bar will feature hands-on gameplay with 28 highly anticipated ID@Xbox titles on Xbox One X.
- Chris Charla, Director of ID@Xbox, and the team will be onsite to talk with developers about how successful the program has been and how it continues to be a community effort.
- Microsoft will be hosting 12 sponsored sessions throughout the week: Creating games through the ID@Xbox and Creators Programs, using artificial intelligence to support game developers, new APIs for developers that will give gamers higher fidelity visuals than ever before.
Microsoft is also planning several Gaming for Everyone Community Events at GDC, including a full-day event with workshops, discussions, and reception for their Women in Gaming event. A full list of community events can be seen here, and the events are free to attend, though registration is required. Developers, meanwhile, can check out a full list of Microsoft sponsored events and sessions here.
