Microsoft unveiled the Xbox app for Windows 10 at an event last month. The app aims to offer unified experience on Windows 10 and the console operating system, giving users the ability to see what their friends are up to, message them, stream Xbox One games on Windows 10 PCs or tablets, and lots more.
Recently, the members of Xbox team started teasing about upcoming updates for the app, hinting at new features and monthly updates. Xbox Partner Director of Program Management Mike YBarra first tweeted out asking about who’s using the app:
How many of you use the Xbox app on Windows 10?

… and then shortly after made a bit of an update announcement:
We’ll soon be adding features monthly. #Windows10

There’s no word on when the update will show up, but it shouldn’t be too long. Microsoft is also expected to release the first technical preview of Windows 10 for phones this month, and there’s a possibility that we may get to see the update for the Xbox app in a similar time frame.
