Keyboard and Mouse support on Xbox One is something many gamers have wanted for a very long time. Microsoft originally announced that support would be coming, but the company has not said much about it for the past seven months. Anyway, noted by Gamer Professionals, Microsoft Poland may have revealed that keyboard and Mouse support is coming sooner than anyone thought.
The Microsoft Poland Xbox website apparently published an official post about the Keyboard and Mouse support too early, detailing some uses on Xbox One. Though the orginal post has since been removed, here’s a translation of a portion the original post, from Polish, which starts off saying “Thanks to the latest update of Windows 10 on Xbox One, you can now connect the mouse, keyboard and webcam to the console”:
“Some players prefer to conquer the virtual world with a pad in hand. Others, above all, value the precision of the mouse movements. Others, however, can not imagine playing on anything other than a keyboard. Now, owners of Xbox One consoles (including Xbox One S models and the latest Xbox One X) can choose these accessories and decide for themselves what they will use. “PC Master Race”? Thanks to the keyboard support, we can already successfully talk about “Xbox Master Race”!”
Interesting to see this surface on the web, especially because HORI already announced the first official keyboard and mouse for Xbox One. Anyway, the language in the Microsoft Poland post is indeed a bit strange, so it’s best to take it with a fine grain of salt. Additionally, these type of features are usually tested with Xbox Insiders first before going mainstream to all Xbox users. More might be coming soon, so best to keep tuned for more in the days ahead.
