It’s official: Bungie announces Destiny 2

Bungie has officially announced today the sequel to Destiny, its popular multiplayer FPS that was released on Xbox consoles back in 2013. The new title, called Destiny 2, was officially revealed with a simple picture on Bungie’s Twitter account (via Polygon):

Not much is known about the game so far, except that it will be released on the Xbox One and Sony’s Playstation 4 in Fall 2017. Last month, publisher Activision announced during its 2016 Q4 results that the new installment would “broaden the franchise’s global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth.”

We should learn more about Destiny 2 in the coming months, but in the meantime we remind you that the original Destiny game will receive its fourth and last expansion called “Age of Triumph” tomorrow, March 28. You can watch the launch trailer below:
