The Alcatel Idol 4S, one of the last high-end Windows 10 Mobile phone that launched in the US last year will soon be available to purchase in Europe (via Neowin). The company has just announced that its flagship Windows phone will launch in the European markets “by June” and will be advertised there as the Idol 4 Pro.
Despite the name change (to avoid confusion with the Android version of the handset in Europe), the phone will be identical and feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GM of RAM and 64GB of storage with microSD expansion. However, at €599 the handset will be more expensive than its US version, which you can currently get for $470 on the US Microsoft Store (or just $449 on Amazon).
Still, the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro appears to be more affordable than the HP Elite x3, which European customers struggle to find below a €800 price point as of today. If you live in Europe, let us know in the comments if you’re considering purchasing the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro when it will be available in June.
