Although Microsoft hasn’t announced when it will officially release Windows Phone 8.1, it certainly isn’t too far away. Take Finland for an example, it’s one of the few regions that has started receiving the new operating system version on their handsets. But there has been some exciting development that might interest you all.
Microsoft has officially started putting the documentation surrounding the update on its website (which I spotted via WPCentral). The company has published the information about Windows Phone 8.1 update on operating system’s update history page, which hints that the official announcement might happen some time soon.
The page also describes the features the new operating system brings. It also notes — what we already know — that the end users (like you and me) will have to wait for our respective manufacturers and carriers to approve and push these updates to us.
