Fujitsu Q584 Windows 8.1 tablet finally on sale in the US market

Fujitsu has not seemed the least bit rushed in getting its latest tablet to market. The Q584 was shown off in early November, but now just in time for last minute holiday shoppers, the waterproof device is hitting retail in the United States. The tablet boasts formidable hardware specs, especially given its Surface Pro 2-competitive price.

The STYLISTIC Q584 (that’s the complete name) weighs in at 1.4 pounds, sports a 10.1-inch 2560×1600 HD display, Intel Atom Z37704 processor, GB LPDDR3 RAM, 64 GB of storage, 2 MP front and 8 MP rear cameras, 802.11 A/B/G/N connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. Buyers can also expect a generous helping of ports, with USB 3.0, Micro USB, microSIM, microSD and an optional card reader. You can also upgrade to 128 GB of storage if you so choose. Fujitsu is promising up to 11 hours of battery life, though that statistic should always be taken with a grain of salt.

All of this will lighten your wallet by $879 (starting). Oh, and there’s a dock being sold separately for an additional $59. Orders can now be placed directly from Fujitsu and the price includes a one year standard warranty. As it currently stands, Fujitsu is offering free two day shipping, though you can expect to pay tax, based on where you live.
