Twitch and Netflix currently experiencing service issues on Xbox

\

The Xbox platform contain numerous options for entertainment. In fact, it could be considered as much of a set-top box as it is a gaming console. Microsoft has intentionally  positioned the Xbox in that market, aiming to get into as many living rooms as possible.

\

However, services sometimes go down — we recently witnessed an Exchange outage. While most cloud platforms are able to maintain close to 100 percent uptime, things can happen. That is currently the case with Xbox. Both movie streaming service Netflix and game video service Twitch are experiencing outages.

\

Microsoft keeps users up to date on the status of many aspects of its console, using a dashboard that anyone can check at any time. This allows users to verify that a problem is not just them. As of this writing, Netflix and Twitch are both listed as “limited” according to the company’s dashboard.
