VSTU

Microsoft has released a new series of Visual Studio Tools for Unity 2.0 Preview 2, which will allows developers greater control over their work than before, while also improving general ease of use.

Among the new tools is a new option panel for VSTU, making it easier to keep track of and control new features, experimental support for breaking on exceptions (following a number of user requests) and function breakpoint support. In addition to these, Hit Count breakpoints can now be added, and ObjectIDs have been integrated, making it easier to get a reference than ever before.

For the full list of improvements, head to the change log, which is held here. VSTU is a free Visual Studio add-on from Microsoft that makes creating games in Unity a little easier by providing for a richer overall experience, with more information and feedback available.

Will you be making use of the new tools? Let us know in the comments below.
