Gears of War 4 gets an August update

Starting today, Gears of Wars 4 owners can get a new content update on Xbox One. According to Xbox Wire, the new Gears of War 4 content update will feature two new maps, Forge Blitz and Canals, as well as game performance updates and bug fixes.

Both Forge Blitz and Canals are available for Gears of War 4 Season Pass Holders in the Double XP and 20% Bonus Credit “Developer Playlist” On August 8, 2017, both maps will be available for everyone else in Public Matchmaking. Starting today and every day in August Gears of War Versus players can earn special bonuses.

“Every day in August, your first win of the day is worth 500 Credits – and increase from the standard 100 Credits. That means an extra 12,400 Credits are up for grabs this August if you win one match every day! In addition, the second season of the Gears Pro Circuit is on the way – and we’re preparing with Escalation Ring placement improvements to Diner, Impact, Lift and The Slab. These improvements were crafted with our Pro Players at a recent studio playtest, so jump in and check them out for yourself beginning today.”

August brings another Craftable Character and this month brings “Classic Commando Dom.” On August 18, 2017, there will be a new Horde variant and a Classic One Shot One Kill on Canals on August 25, 2017. Horde fans can still get a piece of the action with the latest Horde variant, “Anything Goes,” and is still playable on any map in Private Match.
