You can now double-click on a tab to close it. This is one of the most requested accessibility features by users, and it has finally made it to Microsoft Edge Canary as spotted by Leopeva64-2 on Reddit. It is currently available for users on the Canary channel of Microsoft Edge. (via Neowin)

To access the feature you will have to navigate through Edge Settings > Accessibility and then toggle the Use double-click to close browser tabs button as it is disabled by default. Alternatively, you can use the wheel click or the Ctrl + W shortcut to close tabs too.

This feature is limited to a finite number of Insiders as Microsoft s currently testing out the feature before releasing it to a wider audience. It is not yet clear when the feature will reach general availability but do watch out for the update on your browser.
