Xbox One X appears on Walmart site for September 21 pre order

Last month, the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition became the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever, showing that there is quite a lot of excitement around the most powerful gaming console ever created. If you missed the chance to pre-order the limited edition console, Microsoft said last month that it would share details of the next wave of Xbox One X standard edition pre-orders in September, but it seems that Walmart has already jumped the gun (via Thurrott.com).

Reddit user “YouAreSalty” shared a screenshot of the Walmart website yesterday with an ad showing that Xbox One X pre-orders would be available in-store on September 21 (the ad can also be seen on a flyer available here). If you read the fine print at the bottom of the image, you can see that the standard console will be availalbe in limited quantities (only 2 units per customer) and exclusively in Walmart retail stores, with pick up availalbe on November 7.

It’s not clear yet if other retailers will follow suit, but we guess that Microsoft could finally share all pre-order information as soon as this week.
