After extending its Office Insider program to macOS and Android users last year, the Office team has announced yesterday that iPhone and iPad users can finally sign up to test preview builds of the Office iOS apps. Joining the program can be really interesting if you rely heavily on Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote and want to provide feedback on new features, though please note that the popular Outlook iOS app won’t be included in the program.

There are also some caveats for now, as the Office team explained that the Fast Ring will be the only available option for iOS users. Additionally, the team explained that it will start testing preview builds with a limited test group:
We have limited capacity in this program so we will largely offer these spots on a first come first served basis, to enthusiastic Office fans who want to test the apps on iPhone and iPad and provide feedback. Because of limited capacity and constantly evolving testing focus, we may need to remove participants from the program if they are not actively testing or we need to reallocate capacity/resources to a different test group.
If you’re interested, you can apply today on this dedicated page and start crossing your fingers to be accepted. Once you’re in, be aware that you’ll be able to opt out of the Office Insider whenever you want if the preview builds are too unstable for you.
