The most straightforward method of copying the files between your devices is through the Universal Clipboard. As you can probably guess already, the files in this case are document files. Interestingly, the method will work in both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Here’s how you can get started:
- Go to the Start menu search bar, type in ‘settings,’ and select the best match.
- From there, select System > Clipboard.
- Now turn on the switches for Clipboard history and Sync across devices.
- Select the Automatically sync text that I copy radio box.
As soon you follow the above steps, the Universal Clipboard on your PC will get enabled. Just copy whatever text you want to and click on paste. The text will be saved in your clipboard history.
Step 2: Install SwiftKey Keyboard on your Android
Now you’ve to install the Microsoft Swift Key Keyboard on your Android. Launch the app after you’re done with the installation and tap on Enable SwiftKey.
On the next screen, toggle on the switch for SwiftKey Keyboard. You’ll get a dialog box for warning, click on OK to go ahead.
Head back to main screen and tap the Select SwiftKey button. You’ll be asked to pick an input method—select the Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard to go ahead, and finally, click on Finish.
Now simply log in into SwiftKey using the email account you’re using on your PC. You’ll next get asked if you’d like to share your data with Microsoft—click on No, and your installation will be finalized.
Head to the Settings of your SwiftKey keyboard and select Rich input. Toggle on the switch for Sync clipboard history, Remember copied items, and Show last copied item as quick paste option on prediction bar.
