The Windows Phone Store is home to over 300,000 Windows Phone apps, with new apps coming in on a weekly basis. Let’s take a look at the Windows Phone Store and see which apps are at the top of the charts when it comes to the free, paid, and trending categories. We’ll also highlight some of these apps that have made it to the top of the charts.
As of September 14th, the top-five free apps in the Windows Phone Store are OneDrive, Facebook, Skype, Messenger, and Pandora. The top-five paid apps are Theme+, ProShot, Lumia Battery Saver &Booster, Hot Tiles, and Metrotube. The top-five trending apps are NFL Now, CBS Sports Fantasy, Start Design, Run Rabbit Run, and Free Audio Books.
The top-five free games are Subway Surfers, Hungry Shark Evolution, Major Mayhem WP, Fail Hard, and Despicable Me Minion Rush. The top-five paid games are Cut The Rope Exp, Plants vs Zombies, Angry Birds, Sonic CD, and Castle Raid 2.
Unfortunately, this week was rather dull in terms of new and exciting apps. The top-five list is relatively the same compared to the previous week. Here are a few apps that managed to make it to the top-five:
- Lumia Battery Saver & Booster ($4.49) – This app is touted as a powerful and easy battery manager app, exclusively designed and developed for Lumia devices to extend battery life.
- Run Rabbit Run (free) – Adopt a rabbit and complete a minimum number of steps a day to keep your rabbit healthy.
- Avatar Maker (free) – You can use more than 1,000 kinds of graphics to create and handle your avatar, make it special and interesting
- Start Design ($0.99) – Start Design help you create beautiful, impression, and your own style wallpaper with utmost ease.
